Technopact Security Glass — Supply & Installation in London

At Glass Technique Ltd., we supply and install Technopact Security Glass across London, Surrey, and Essex. Our technical team provides expert support from specification through to full installation.

Overview

Maximum Protection

Upgrade the security of your London home, office, retail unit or commercial facility with certified security glazing. At Glass Technique Ltd, we supply and install toughened, laminated and anti-bandit glass systems — all designed to resist forced entry, vandalism and impact. Security glazing is either an all-glass construct, or a glass & polycarbonate composite designed to withstand measurable, complex loads from deliberate and sustained attacks. All-glass construction consists of two or more layers of glass bonded together with a PVB interlayer. Although the glass itself will crack and break when attacked, it will remain in place, thanks to the PVB interlayers. BS EN 356 provides test methods and classification for resistance of glazing against manual attack.

Infallible security with an uncompromised style

Consistent Flatness

Our advanced formulation assembled by our highly trained technical staff allows us to manufacture quality flat security glass. Where most asymmetrical glass structures are bowed during production, we are able to offer a consistent quality of flat glass without sacrificing security performance.

Improved Transparency

Our formulas and manufacturing methods are made with the consideration of maintaining minimalistic features (e.g. weight, thickness...). This puts our security range among the lighter and most transparent products available in the market.

Security and much more

Our security range is designed, tested, and certified to provide maximum application diversity. We are able to combine and incorporate Fire Resistance, Switchable, Printed Design, hygiene, and many other specifications in a single product.

Make the right choice

Glass Technique Technical Team is especially and continuously trained to engage designers, engineers, architects, and project owners in order to design and specify the most appropriate product for the right project.

Security Glass Technologies

Laminated All-Glass Security Panels: Multiple layers of glass bonded with PVB or EVA interlayers. Even upon breakage, the glass remains intact — ideal for shopfronts, windows, partitions, and entrance glazing.

Bulletproof Glass (BS EN 1063): Composite of multiple layered, laminated sheets of glass and polycarbonate. All-glass & No-spall products are available, with the polycarbonate preventing glass shards from becoming projectiles on the protected side.

Spall vs No-Spall: As residual damage is caused by impact pressure or shock, shards of glass can break away from the surface. No-Spall (NS) security glass incorporates a polycarbonate layer as the last line of defense, preventing glass debris from escaping the construct.

Ballistic & Impact Performance
Ballistic Steel

Ballistic steel (armor steel) is made of hardened martensitic steel used to protect against external threats. Withstands high impact stress and is used in cash-in-transit vehicles, vaults, bank counters, security doors, and security booths.

Brinell Test (Hardness)

Ballistic steel is measured to 3 criteria: hardness, yield strength, and tensile strength. The sufficient HB for bulletproof steel frames is around 480-540 Brinell (1660-1880 MPa).

Yield Strength & Tensile Strength

Yield strength measures minimum force for permanent deformation — ballistic steel features 1000-1250 MPa. Tensile strength measures permanent deformation when pulled laterally — around 1600 MPa.

Blast Resistant (EN 13541)

Blast-resistant glass combines glass rigidity with polymer energy absorption. Classifications ER1-ER4 correspond to TNT equivalents. The glass must remain in the test frame and prevent debris from becoming a weapon.

Where Glass Meets Technology
P8B

Forced Entry Rated

Tested to BS EN 356 P8B — the highest manual attack resistance classification. Withstands axe and hammer attacks with minimum 12 blows.

BR7

Bullet Resistant

Certified to BS EN 1063 BR7, stopping military rifle rounds including armour-piercing ammunition. Multi-laminate glass + polycarbonate construction.

ER4

Blast Resistant

Tested to EN 13541 ER4 for explosive shockwave and shrapnel containment. Glass remains in frame, preventing deadly debris projection.

No-Spall

No-Spall Protection

Polycarbonate backing prevents glass shards from becoming projectiles on the protected side — critical for government and embassy installations.

Applications in London

Our security glass delivers measurable value across London's diverse building stock — from commercial properties and embassies to residential homes and retail spaces. Below are the most common applications we install throughout London, Surrey and Essex.

01

Commercial & Retail Security

Protect your London business with certified security glazing. Shopfronts, banks, jewellery stores, and offices benefit from anti-bandit glass that withstands hammer and axe attacks. Our P6B–P8B rated systems give police time to respond to intrusions.

02

Government & Embassy Grade

London's diplomatic and government buildings require the highest security standards. Our BR4–BR7 bullet-resistant glass, blast-resistant assemblies (ER1–ER4), and no-spall polycarbonate composites are installed across critical infrastructure and embassies.

03

Residential Security Doors & Windows

London homeowners are increasingly investing in laminated security glass for ground-floor windows, rear doors, and basement glazing. Our toughened and laminated panels improve forced-entry resistance without compromising on natural light or aesthetics.
